Six Weeks After Laser Hair Removal Session #3

Six weeks in now and things are starting to change! If you look back at the past five weeks things have been really great and I haven’t even had to shave since my last appointment. Well, things are starting to come in a little darker and longer now. I still haven’t shaved my lower arms, but I decided to shave my upper arms since they looked a little weird. I also haven’t shaved my legs – things are still looking good down there and any hair that I have on my legs is still very short, light and fine.

So I guess I may have to shave my arms fully soon. I’m going to LA tomorrow and the real reason I shaved my upper arms was because I didn’t want to look weird without a shirt on at the beach! I’m planning on calling to setup my next appointment sometime next week and scheduling it for sometime around the 1st of July – almost eight weeks after my last session.

I’m a little surprised that my hair grew back at all after having no hair for so long! Now that it’s starting to come in again I’m definitely looking forward to the next session and getting it taken care of!

Here are the pictures! Sorry for the delay. Click the pictures for a larger image.

You may find that several weeks after each treatment the hair comes back. It is very easy to get optimistic after the shedding and a few weeks of hairlessness but for a lot of people the hair comes back. For me electrolysis was eventually the way to keep it away. I had 5 laser treatments overy a 15 month period.

i was wanting to know about the shedding process if possible. after the 1st laser, how long does it take for the hairs to come out. cna you tweezer them out and how long do tey grow before u can pull them?

    thanks

Hi, thanks for making this blog! I’m about to undergo the same procedure (at the same clinic!) and I’m ridiculously nervous about spending this much money.

I’m the same age and skin type as you, and getting my “T-shirt” done front and back. I can’t even begin to thank you for letting me know what to expect. Are there any tips I should know before I start? Are there any technicians at Romeo & Juliette I should request? Or, well, anything? This is easily the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought, besides university.

Oh yeah, and how are you dealing with the new shoulder hair? How did it even happen that your shoulders got lasered?

I’m nervous about stimulating new hair growth, but I also figure within the six-session package it should be taken care of as soon as it tries to appear. Are you getting your new growth zapped next time you go to the clinic?

  6. Good idea to out some pictures.

Sarah – it takes about 14-18 days for me to shed maybe 95% of my hair. I would think tweezing them would take waaay to long. I just wait for them to fall out or shave them if they start to look weird. They don’t get too long.

Holla – that’s awesome your going to Romeo and Juliette as well! I’ve only done one session there so far but both laser techs (girls) seemed to do well. Everyone there seems to be very good from what I’ve heard which is why I chose to go there.

Regarding my shoulders…it’s really my upper arm area and a little bit on my shoulders….I’m not sure if the lasers stimulated the areas or just sped up the growth. I probably would have had hair there eventually, if the lasers did stimulate the areas, so its good that its happening now and I can get it taken care of at the same time as everything else. I will definitely be getting any unwanted hair taken care of at my next session.

im glad that you have put this together for others to read. i just discovered your site maybe 2 months ago. i am very much considering having this procedure done on my arms and legs. i have a few questions to ask. 1) these pictures are from six weekes after your 3rd session, the hair on your arms, are they smooth when the grow back in, and how long does it take for that to happen, after getting the treatment, also how long is the arm/leg hair when it does come through? 2) if you stop shaving after a while, will the hair grow back and be the same as it was before having it removed?

    thanks!

    3) does the hair thin out any?
